Happy Monday! Here are some things I’ve been loving this month
Lorraine Lamp by Anatomy Design
Anatomy Design has made a simple and beautiful lamp, that goes beyond the normal functionality of a lamp, The shade direction is controlled entirely by the user to suit their desired light direction. The lamp is available in a variety of finish and material options, as well as the desk or floor standing option – all I know, is that these timeless lamps will look good in every home.
24K Magic by Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars released 24K Magic late last year – and his 90’s influenced sound and production is fresh and done incredibly well. The R&B and funk inspired songs are all about loving and living. Mars’ writing and vocals never fail to amaze me, and this album has a perfect collaboration of the two. Some of the highlights on the album for me are ‘Chunky’, ‘Versace On The Floor’, ‘That’s What I Like’ and ‘Too Good To Say Goodbye’.
We Were Liars by Emily Lockhart
Funny, exciting, beautifully written, and filled with love, loss and truth. We Were Liars is a book I could not put down and has climbed to the top of my favourites list. It is relatable and wonderfully unforgettable – I’d recommend it to anyone who knows love, seeks love, and would lie for it (plus the ending was SO unexpected – but perfect).
La La Land – starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone
Musical, magical, and oh so wonderful! A story about never giving up on your dreams, and working hard for them. Life sometimes has a way of not always going to plan, but always working out in the end – and this movie is about trusting that and ourselves. Beautiful music and unforgettable dancing that just puts a smile on your face. La La Land is a movie for all the dreamers.
Not Just Lip Balm from Cotton On
These little cubes caught my eye while in the queue at Cotton On recently. They come in four colours and scents – banana, berry, coconut and watermelon. It keeps my lips soft and smelling good (like, really good!) – plus all the proceeds go to the Cotton On Foundation which is helping rebuild Ugandan communities.
Only The Brave Tattoo by Diesel
I’ve always been a fan of Diesel fragrances, this fragrance is part of the ‘Only The Brave’ collection, which all have the signature fist shaped bottle. The scent is sweet but subtle, and lasts all day – which I think is an important aspect to consider when purchasing fragrances.
Blue denim shirt from Cotton On
Denim pants, denim jacket, denim shirt, and even a denim hat – anyone who knows me, knows that I love denim! It’s a timeless material that looks good on everyone. Put on a pair of blue jeans, a plain T and sneakers, and you’re ready to go.
Bracelet from Markham
An easy way to elevate an outfit is with jewelry – and these cuffs haven’t left my wrists. This one opens and closes with a spring, so it’s easy to put on, and it can fit all wrist sizes too. Markham has a whole bunch of bracelets and cuffs available.
Aloe Vera water
Aloe Vera water is so delicious and upon reading some articles online – it’s also super healthy for you, which is great. There are all kinds of flavours, but I prefer the original. as the flavours do tend to taste artificial and too sweet. You can get this at most supermarkets like Checkers and Pick ‘n Pay, and I’ve seen it at Dis-Chem too – you should definitely try it!
